Back-to-School Collection Drive

Nix Neighborhood Lending teamed up with LAFD Fire Station #64 and the LAPD Southeast Division to make the first day of school a bit easier for hundreds of Watts students and their parents. 2015 marks the 6th year that Nix and Kinecta employees, members and vendors donated backpacks filled with school supplies that were distributed at the Community Back-to-School Block Party. Nearly 470 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to young students.

Holiday Food Drive

Nix and Kinecta work directly with a diverse list of community-based nonprofit organizations to identify families in need. Money is collected from customers, employees and vendors to provide assistance to deserving families during the Thanksgiving season. Our goal is to help more families each year.

Key Community Partners

Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers & Nix Financial Partner to Fight Crime

Nix is excited to announce a new partnership with Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers to facilitate anonymous reward payments for anonymous tips leading to an arrest. Through the program, tipsters selected to receive rewards will be directed to any Nix branches where a secure system has been set up for them to receive their payout. Click here for more details.

LAPD Southeast Division

Nix, Kinecta Federal Credit Union and MoneyGram supported the Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division’s team in the 30th Annual Challenge Cup Relay. Starting in Baker, California and ending in Las Vegas, Nevada, law enforcement officers from around the globe battle it out every Spring for the chance of winning the coveted cup trophy. Congratulations to the Southeast Division for their 1st Place finish in the Station Division!

Children’s Miracle Network

Each year, Nix supports CMN through customer and employee donations. With campaigns including the Coin Drive, Miracle Jeans Month, holiday giving and in-branch donations throughout the year. Visit CMN online.
